April Medal - Sunday 26th April - Maybole

The club's first medal competition was held at Maybole golf course on a day that bore little resemblance to Spring let alone Summer.

The highlight of the day were a gross 48 from Paul Strang who won the first event and a birdie two from Kyle Campbell at the ninth, the first ever birdie from a South Ayrshire Junior Golf Club member.

For a first attempt over a proper golf course, taking the weather conditions and the unfamiliarity of playing in this type of event into account it has to be said everybody did better than could have been expected.

The committee would like to thank all the parents and volunteers who took the time and put up with the weather to carry bags, mark cards and generally help out.

The next medal is to be held at Roodlee on the 31st May. We look forward to seeing you there

May Medal - Sunday 31st May - Roodlee

The club's second medal was held at Roodlee in weather that could not be more different than the April medal. Unfortunately this blisteringly hot weather ensured that five of the Maybole group were away for that particular weekend and so the numbers were down on the first medal.

This showed a tremendous improvement by all the competitors from the first event and hopefully this improvement will continue at Dalmilling on Sunday 21st June.
